Herd Spreaders

Follow up to our fly control work in Idaho. On Friday September 25th I was back in Twin Falls to help calibrate the Herd Seed spreaders for the calf farms to be able to spread our Zyrox Fly bait from a tractor.
The fun part was having to figure out the bulk density of the bait. I finally figured out that 28 pounds of bait are almost exactly 5 gallons of bait. After that the algebra was easy to calculate how much bait should be applied in 30 seconds.
Using this mechanical spreader will save the farm 70% in labor and 30% in bait. Hopefully word is spreading.
