Thursday evening while I was in Florida, Maren, Lance, and their family arrived in Utah for Lance's mothers memorial service. Of course as all our rooms are full they had to stay with Grandma Roper in Orem.
The Memorial service was on Saturday the 18th which was also Tess' 4th birthday. We decided to host a birthday party for her on Sunday evening coupled with Roper family dinner.

We had 29 people with our family and Lance's family. Of course in our big family room there is room for everyone. We enjoyed a meal of sandwiches with all the fixings including chips, pickles, fruit and condiments.

After the meal it was time to open Tess' presents. She had been sulking around lying on the floor under the serving table but when we brought out the cake she was ready to party.
As usual Tess had a lot of help from her brothers unwrapping her presents. She received some nice books and fun clothes and jewelry and was very happy with all the attention. It was the biggest birthday party we've had at our house. Thanks for coming to visit Madsen's!
