We now have 14 priests in our Venture scout group. For several months we have had a water skiing trip on our calendar for this week. So Wednesday evening when we were scheduled to leave from the Bishops house we had 4 young men join us. I'm finding that is pretty typical for this group with work, drivers ed, sports, and other conflicts.

We drove to the Provo boat harbor and launched out in very shallow water. Early that afternoon the wind had started to pick up and as a result the lake was very choppy which made it a bit difficult for skiing.

We started off riding the 'Hot Dog' tube. That was fun but the priests are a little too big for it.

| Mark, Ethan, and Zach finally on board |
After everyone had several turns on the Hot Dog we switched to the knee board. Everyone was able to get up but it was so choppy it was nearly impossible to go outside the wake. At one point we were quite a ways south and Zach was in the water. When he fell he was able to stand up in about 4 feet of water.

We returned to the harbor around 8:30, cleaned the boat, then headed to our house for, what else, hot dogs. Watching them ride that big wiener around all evening had worked up my appetite.
