Escondido

My sales rep asked me to cover a Target Specialty Products show for him in Escondido, CA. I really didn't want to but because it is so close to where Kyle lives I agreed. Wednesday morning I was off early to the airport to catch the 8:30 flight to San Diego. I had reserved a "Full Sized" car from Hertz. Evidently a Mazda 3 is considered a full sized car. It was fun getting my golf clubs into the car.
The 15th hole was the most beautiful setting on the course with the bougainvilleas in bloom
I drove to Kyle's and we loaded up his clubs and headed to the Mission Way golf course near his home. There were a lot of cars in the parking lot but we were on the course within 10 minutes.
Kyle addressing the ball at 15. Cowles Mountain is in the background. It is the highest spot in San Diego.
I never play well when I fly before hitting the course. It took 9 holes and a hot dog for lunch before I started to hit the ball well. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed a relaxing afternoon.
Yeah. I'm fat and out of shape
After golf we stopped by Kyle's to put away his clubs and to make a grocery list. Then we were off to Albertson's to buy him some food. He does eat a healthy diet which is good to see. After shopping we stopped at the Barbecue Pit for some excellent beef and sausage. It was one of the better meals I've had on the road the last few months.
I drove to San Marcos to spend the evening and was at the Community Arts Center in Escondido at 6:45 for the trade show. I should have just skipped this event. They had 35 customers and it was not worth the expense. But as Susie reminded me, I did get in a relaxing round of golf.
