Happy Mothers Day

For Mothers Day this year my brothers and sister and I bought my mom a new oven for her kitchen. Actually we replaced the 51 year old built in oven that stopped working last winter.

It was a bit of a challenge to find a built in oven that would fit the small space she had available. General Electric was the only manufacturer that still makes one that small.

The installer came yesterday and, according to mom, he had to do quite a bit of sawing to get the new oven into the hole. It looks nice and will make it easier for her to cook smaller items without having to bend over to use the big oven. Not often you buy an oven for an 88 year old woman so she can keep entertaining her family.
