New Ride

One of the nice perks of my job is the company car that is provided to field sales and technical reps. We get a new car every 4 years or 80,000 miles. I got my 2013 Ford Explorer in April of 2012 so this year I got to order a new car.
I really enjoyed my 2013 Ford Explorer
Last time I got a car I looked for something that would seat at least 7 so I could haul young men to campouts and other activities. As I'm no longer working with the young men I decided to get something a bit smaller.
2016 Steel Grey Ford Edge
My choices were the Ford F150 pickup, Dodge Grand Caravan, Ford Explorer, Ford Flex, Ford Escape, and the Ford Edge. I spent quite a bit of time over Christmas comparing the cars on line. Then I went to the local Ford dealership, Larry H Miller Ford in Provo to see if I could just look inside the cars and sit in the front seat. They were real jerks about it. I ended up going to Ken Garff Ford in American Fork. They were great. I highly recommend them over LH Miller.
Note the dealer plats
I ordered a Ford Edge on January 4th and it arrived in Provo on April 21st. I got a call from the leasing agent at the dealership. He started off telling me his secretary had mailed the license plants to my home and would I bring them with me when I came to pick up the car. I made an appointment to pick up the new car on April 26th.
This new car has all the right bells and whistles
The plates did not arrive at my house. Ten days later they have not arrived at the PHH leasing agency in Wisconsin either. I have no idea where that lady sent the plats. Unfortunately, neither does she. Luckily I'm holding their dealer plates hostage so I expect they'll come up with new plates soon.

The best thing about the Edge is that it is small enough to fit in the garage. The Honda CRV is now on the back patio. Life is good.
