Phoenix Again

I was back in Phoenix this week for the meeting of the association to paranoid to be named (Cop - e - san). As usual it was not the best use of my time but I did get to meet the new technical director and talk with the sales manager for Winfield. I also probably shared my cold with several unwitting individuals though I tried to be careful.
I arrived in Phoenix on Tuesday evening and drove to the Gilbert temple. For some reason the Hertz in Phoenix thinks I need a sports car each time I visit. This time is was a Mercedes 250 SL. I barely fit in it and my two small suitcases filled the trunk. I arrived around 5 pm and was able to do an initiatory session. It is interesting how different each temple handles family file names.
Crazy car, took me an hour to figure out how the adjust the seat
Wednesday was the trade show which lasted from 11 am to nearly 4 pm. I was pretty tired when that was over. I checked into my hotel and spent the evening reading and working on my presentation for next week at the UPCLA meetings in Layton Ut.

I was supposed to have dinner with Susie's brother Rick but he was real tied up with school and getting ready to travel to Utah for his Father-in-Law's funeral. So I ate at a Chinese restaurant called the Bamboo Garden. That was a mistake. I think I got food poisoning from eating there.
While I was in Phoenix Susie, Kevin and Grandma got to go to the Provo Temple Open house using the tickets I ordered. I guess I'll try and go using the standby line next week.
Thursday morning I gave a 5 minute talk at the meetings then I was off to the airport. It was a shame to leave the clear, blue, sunshiny weather in Phoenix and return to the smoggy inversion we have here in Utah. I'll be back in Phoenix in March.
