I arrived in Phoenix on Tuesday evening and drove to the Gilbert temple. For some reason the Hertz in Phoenix thinks I need a sports car each time I visit. This time is was a Mercedes 250 SL. I barely fit in it and my two small suitcases filled the trunk. I arrived around 5 pm and was able to do an initiatory session. It is interesting how different each temple handles family file names.
| Crazy car, took me an hour to figure out how the adjust the seat |
I was supposed to have dinner with Susie's brother Rick but he was real tied up with school and getting ready to travel to Utah for his Father-in-Law's funeral. So I ate at a Chinese restaurant called the Bamboo Garden. That was a mistake. I think I got food poisoning from eating there.
While I was in Phoenix Susie, Kevin and Grandma got to go to the Provo Temple Open house using the tickets I ordered. I guess I'll try and go using the standby line next week.
Thursday morning I gave a 5 minute talk at the meetings then I was off to the airport. It was a shame to leave the clear, blue, sunshiny weather in Phoenix and return to the smoggy inversion we have here in Utah. I'll be back in Phoenix in March.
