Leaking Water: Again

It has been raining this week. Really heavy rain. We got the new roof and rain gutters on just in time. This evening after dinner while we were doing the dishes Kevin came upstairs and announced that there was water leaking into the basement again.
I ran downstairs to the wash room and there was water pouring out of the ceiling. At first I thought it was from the water pipe but then realized it was leaking from the floor above. Ran back to the kitchen to find water leaking out from under the sink, again! At least it wasn't from the rain.
Turns out the water faucet was leaking from the hose that allows you to pull the spigot out and use it as a sprayer. It was not loose, just leaking. Time to get a new faucet. Susie and I finished up the kitchen and ran down to the Home Depot in pouring rain. We found a new faucet we liked and hurried home to install it.
I think it actually took longer to remove the old faucet than it did to install the new one. There was a bit of a frantic moment when it appeared that the hose from the faucet was not long enough to reach the water supply but it was long enough by about a quarter of an inch. Everything is now connected, no leaks, and the new faucet works great. I think I'm getting the hang of this.
