Zyrox

I had an interesting trip to Idaho on Wednesday. I traveled with our National Accounts manager, Mike Kuflik and the Winfield rep Brayden Henrie to visit some fly control sites in the Twin Falls area.
Can you guess what this is?
I thought we were going to visit a couple of dairies but instead we visited three calf farms. These are operations that have a contract to raise the calves that are born at the local dairy farms. They pick them up the day after they are born and then raise them until they are bred and pregnant and ready to return to the dairy.
85,000 calves raised at this operation
These operations are huge. The first place we visited had about 50,000 calves. The second had about 30,000 but the last place we stopped by had 85,000 and was adding capacity every day.

As you can imagine with all the feed and manure there are lots of flies. We were visiting them to promote our Zyrox granular fly bait. At the second farm they were still using Quick Bayt because it is $150 for 30 lb. Our product is $280 for 28 lb. We had him spread the two baits down two separate rows and then we watched what happened.
Flies feeding on Zyrox bait. Seeing is believing
After a few minutes the Zyrox bait was covered with flies and the Quick bait really hadn't attracted any flies at all. The grower was pretty impressed and before we left he had placed an order for $5000 worth of Zyrox.
