Rancho Cucamonga

I've seen all the posts about opening mission calls but had never been to one before. (Both my son's opened their calls when I was not around). This past Tuesday a member of our Priests quorum and my home teaching companion, Haven Noel Ruiz, invited Susie and I to be there when he opened his call.
Heidi and Alex Jensen (with Luke), Haven, and family members
The event was held at the Stake Pavilion at our Stake Center. There were a lot of family and ward members present. Haven lives with his mother and step-father in our ward. His father and step-mother live in Orem. He attends church in Orem and Provo every other week.
From our ward, Alex, Heidi, Olivia, and Luke Jensen, Amanda Coon, Catie Atkins (Haven's Mom), Sariah and Esther Reid.
After it got dark and was hard to photograph Haven opened his call and read the letter from President Monson. I'm sure he would have liked to have gone to Mexico where his fathers family comes from but he was called to a Mexican sounding place, Rancho Cucamonga in southern California,

He will enter the MTC on October 7th. Congratulations Haven. I know you'll be a fine missionary.
