I Should Know Better

This past weekend was the Edgemont 12th Wards first annual tennis tournament. The first round was Friday evening with first serve temperatures in the mid 90's. I was seeded against Thomas Chan who informed me that he had never played tennis before. He knew some basics but was pretty raw and I beat him 8 games to 0 in about 25 minutes. Fortunately I did not have to play a second match that evening because I was bushed.
The next morning I played our bishop, Jaren Pope, at 8 am. He dispatched me in 20 minutes 8-0. Then I got to pay for all this fun. Sunday I was pretty stiff and then my left ankle started to hurt. Today the ankle is so sore I can hardly walk. As Susie says, I'm old enough to know better. Perhaps if I had gotten in shape before going at tournament speed I would not be in this predicament.
