Sunday evening we celebrated Bret Grow earning his Eagle rank. There were many times that I thought this would never happen. Bret put off doing his Eagle Leadership project until the last minute finishing the project the day before his 18th birthday.

His project was actually one of the best I have seen and he really did a nice job to overcome all the obstacles that came up during the project.

Then after he had completed the project he had two months to get his board of review completed. He couldn't get the paperwork completed the first month. Then the 2nd month his family was gone on vacation for the entire month so he missed that opportunity.

When they returned I informed Bret that he had missed the deadline but I encouraged him to contact the district office and see if they would allow him to have a board or review because he was out of town at the two month mark.

He called and made the appointment and was able to complete his board of review. So Sunday evening we celebrated his accomplishments.
