We stopped at the Tree of Life for a family photo (with Tess looking away from the camera of course).
We arrived early so we could go on the Kilimanjaro Safari ride. This is the land version of the old Jungle Cruise (which to Maren's dismay was closed during our visit). You ride in a big truck and see African animals in their natural setting.
Then it was time for Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain. This is a roller coaster so Tess was too small to ride on it. Susie and Tess went to the Bone yard playground area to wait while we rode this awesome ride two times. The museum type displays along the line to this ride were also very interesting.

We picked up Susie and Tess on our way to see the Festival of the Lion King Show. It was similar to "The Lion King" musical with lots of singing and dancing. The kids were a little bored but it was nice to sit in a dark, air conditioned space for a while.
Then it was time for lunch. We ate a Pizzafari and had, you guessed it, pizza. While we were trying to decide on a lunch venue Josh wandered over to the drums.
After lunch we took the shuttle back to the Old Key West resort for an afternoon of swimming and playing on the water slide. Too late I learned that there was no way to tighten my swimming suit so I was pretty much limited to standing around in the pool.
That evening we had dinner at the Boma flavors of Africa restaurant. They serve a buffet with dishes from all over Africa. It was unique and very delicious. I really liked the apple and jicama salad. After a long bus ride back to our resort we called it a night.
