Disney World Day 6 - Hollywood Studio

Friday, our last day at Disney world was spent at Hollywood Studio. This is one of the smaller parks in Disney World so we were able to see most of it, a couple of times, as we walked around the park.
First stop was the Toy Story Midway Mania. We didn't have a fast pass for this one so that meant standing in line for a long time. But is was fun to look at all the old toy displays. Finally we made it to the ride and got to shoot 3D balls and rings at lots of targets. This time I did not do so well against my gamer son-in-law and grandsons. Oh well, you can't win them all.
For miss Tess the most enjoyable part of the day was the Frozen Sing Along. We were in the standby line but ended up on the second row on the right side of the stage. Tess was thrilled and sang along with every song. She was overjoyed when Elsa even made it snow at the end of the performance.
After the drama of a late lunch on Thursday we decided to take an early lunch on Friday. We ate at the Studio (not Stud) Catering Co. The food was good and the venue was shady and very comfortable.

Other venues visited were The Great Movie Ride, Muppet Vision 3D (which I mostly slept through), Star Tours The Adventure Continues, and Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular,
After lunch Susie and Tess went to the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground while the rest of us went to ride the Rocking Roller Coaster and the Hollywood Tower of Terror.
Last activity of the day was shopping for souvenirs. I looked in every shop for 5 days but didn't see anything I wanted so I came home empty handed. Tess got a Minnie Mouse fan and candy dispenser. The boys each got a Perry the Platypus stuffed toy.
Finally it was time to go to our last dinner. Tonight it was Polynesian food at the Ohana restaurant. We took the shuttle to the resort then had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated. While we waited Tess enjoyed one of her favorite activities with Grandma Susie, A back rub.
The dinner was great with lots of meat and sweet bread. During the meal the kids participated in the coconut race. Each child was given a broom and a coconut and they raced them around the restaurant. We finished off the meal with their famous bread pudding and ice cream.
We were hoping to take the monorail back to the Magic Kingdom but while we were waiting to board the train they announced that it was broken and we would have to take a bus. So we did but poor Cole was broken hearted. Luckily he did get to take the monorail the next morning at the airport.
I had to add this photo. Every time we ate Cole would play with his drink by sucking some into the straw, removing it from the cup than letting it drain into his mouth. I waiting all week for him to spill his drink but he never did.
It was a great week together in Orlando. Great job by Maren planning the activities and meals. I'm sure I put on 5 pounds. We'll have to do something similar again in the future.
