Spring Garden - Summer Garden

We have had another wet May which has made everything really grow. Just before we left for Orlando I planted my spring garden. I put in kale, beets, radishes, and spinach. I had the sprinklers set to water three times a day and everything came up well. Then the rains came and the plants did very well. We have already harvested the radishes and planted a second crop.

The rain seems to have finally stopped and we had our first set of warm days this weekend. With drier weather I was able to get into the garden with the tiller and plant some summer garden. Today I planted cilantro, string beans, and two kinds of carrots.
String beans in the ground. Planted heavy because the seed is 3 years old.
I was also able to put new reduced volume sprinkler heads in the watering system that only water a 4 foot arc. That means no water on the driveway and more water on the plants themselves. This coming week I have to build some additional deer screens then I will plant lettuce and radicchio.
